Tony Farrugia to Attempt World Record in Żurrieq Today

Strongman Tony Farrugia will take centre stage in Żurrieq today, Sunday, 11 October, as he undertakes what organisers are advertising as an official world record attempt.

Scheduled for 10 am to 11 am at Ġnien il-Ġibjun, Tony’s attempt will be a highlight of the Horizon Car Show. It offers the public an opportunity to gather and support him as he puts his strength and determination to the test.

The promotional material does not specify which record Tony will be attempting to break, but his appearance promises to bring added excitement to a morning dedicated to cars and community spirit.

The car show runs from 7.30 am to 2 pm, forming part of the Horizon Beer Festival, which concludes today after three days at the same venue. Entry to the festival is free, with donations encouraged in aid of Hospice Malta.

For those attending this morning, Tony’s challenge provides another reason to visit: the chance to cheer on a strongman pursuing a world record while supporting an event with a charitable purpose.

Best of luck, Tony!
