Man Dies After Entering Tiger Enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park

A man died after entering a tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, near Doncaster, on Saturday, 10 October.

South Yorkshire Police said officers received reports at 1.35 pm. The man was attacked by a tiger and, despite the efforts of emergency personnel, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed and is receiving specialist support.

The park was evacuated. Police confirmed that the tiger was unharmed and remained inside its enclosure, posing no wider danger to the public. Enquiries into the circumstances continue. (southyorkshire.police.uk⁠)
