Antifa-Linked Riots in Turin: Police Officer Attacked During Eviction

Turin, Italy (Jan. 31) — Thousands of far-left extremists and Antifa supporters gathered in Turin. They engaged in violent riots after police moved to evict extremists who had been illegally occupying a building turned into an “Antifa social centre.”

During the clashes, protesters threw stones and firebombs at police officers. The unrest followed the eviction of the illegally occupied Askatasuna social centre.

What made the incident particularly alarming was the attack on a police officer, who was assaulted with clubs and stones during the violence. The brutal attack on the officer caused shock and outrage across Italy.
