Tony Strongman to Attempt Another Guinness World Record in Aid of Puttinu Cares

Maltese strongman Tony will once again put his strength to the test as he attempts to break another Guinness World Record, this time in aid of Puttinu Cares.

The world-record attempt will be part of a special End of Summer event on Saturday, 26 September, at 7.00 pm at the Ta’ Qali Farmers Market.

As always, Tony’s events and challenges are all done with a charitable purpose: to raise support and awareness for Puttinu Cares. This organisation assists Maltese cancer patients and their families, particularly those who need to travel abroad for treatment.

The Guinness World Record attempt will be one of the highlights of an evening combining cars, trucks, music and entertainment. The event is being organised in conjunction with Mega Meets and the Retro Drive In Gathering, with a display of classic American cars and trucks providing the backdrop to Tony’s attempt.

The evening will also feature DJ Stephen Aquis, who will take those present back through the music of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.

But at the centre of the event will be Tony’s attempt to add another Guinness World Record to his achievements. Breaking a world record is already an extraordinary physical challenge. Doing so while linking that challenge to Puttinu Cares gives the attempt an added purpose.

It promises to be an unusual Saturday evening at Ta’ Qali: classic cars, powerful trucks, music from three decades and, above all, a Maltese strongman attempting to write his name once again into the Guinness World Records — and again for a very worthy cause.
