Maltese Police Officers Visit Milton Keynes to Learn from UK PCSOs
TVP Milton Keynes, part of Thames Valley Police in the UK, recently used its official website to highlight a visit by members of the Malta Police Force. The Maltese delegation travelled to Milton Keynes to observe and learn more about the role of Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), which is central to community policing in the UK.

During the visit, the Maltese officers engaged directly with local PCSOs, gaining valuable insights into their daily responsibilities, community engagement strategies, and the broader structure of neighbourhood policing. The exchange allowed the Maltese force to explore practical approaches to community-based policing, focusing on visibility, trust-building, and local problem-solving.
Thames Valley Police emphasised that PCSOs are at the heart of their communities and play an essential role in maintaining public confidence and ensuring effective local policing. The visit underscored the importance of international collaboration in policing, particularly in sharing best practices and strengthening public safety models.
TVP Milton Keynes also published a series of photographs and meeting updates on their website, showcasing the interaction between the Maltese and British officers. The coverage reflected the mutual respect and professional engagement between the two forces, highlighting the value of cross-border learning and partnership in modern policing.
