Moscow is celebrating the 1st of May with a theme park of captured Western armour

During the Soviet era, the 1st of May was celebrated with the parade of Russian missiles as a show of the Soviet nuclear power. It seems that this year, Russia is celebrating the 1st of May with a parade of NATO armour captured in Ukraine. As the videos below show, this military armour has finally reached Moscow.

In other words, as used to happen in Roman times, these armed vehicles, which had reached Moscow on the back of a Russian truck, will shown as war trophies on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow! Until now, these are the military armour captured in Ukraine.

  • M777 howitzer
  • American armored vehicles “HMMWV M1151” and “HMMWV M998”
  • a British armored ambulance AT105 “Sakson”
  • an armored vehicle “Husky TSV”
  • an Austrian vehicle “Pinzgauer 712M”
  • a French wheeled tank “AMX-10RCR”
  • protected the Bushmaster car made in Australia
  • the Finnish armored personnel carrier Sisu Pasi XA-180/185
  • the Mamba MK2 armored car made in South Africa
  • the Ukrainian Triton and Bogdan-2251

Some of the captured armour was described in the Western media as a game changer in this war. A pristine American M777 howitzer, touted as a “game changer” in Ukraine, sits alongside dozens of examples of captured NATO equipment in Moscow. Vast quantities of these “tide turners” have been vaporised by Russian Lancet drones. Hundreds have been destroyed.

  1. victory day is on the 9th of May – that’s when the parade happens on Red Square. This is a month long exhibition in Victory Park – and lasts for a whole month.
