Archbishop Scicluna comes into the open regarding his association with the Opus Dei

The Times has given us an interview with Archbishop Scicluna whereby he revealed his association with the Opus Dei by declaring that were it up to him, the next president of the Republic would be the current Chief Justice Mark Chetcuti. But then, always according to Scicluna, Chetcuti is not eligible because he is Chief Justice.

Nevertheless, with this declaration, our metropolitan archbishop has revealed his association with the Opus Dei! This site had asked whether current chief Judge Mark Chetcuti was a member of the Opus Dei but never got an answer. At the time, Scicluna had hurriedly issued a press release stating that I was lying. This was printed in all the newspapers to discredit me. And the archbishop’s press release was worded in such a manner as to imply that the Opus Dei is a bad association. Scicluna did not wish to have anything to do with them!

I leave it to readers to assess who was lying and who was telling the truth. My mother used to say that the truth always comes to the surface. I remind Monsignor Scicluna of Christ’s words: “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free”. (John 8:32) On the other hand, the Maltese Society of Catholic Doctrine (MUSEUM) taught me always to remember the verse from the Gospel of John that says that he who denies the truth and lies goes to hell.
