Is the Times going to publish why it stopped Daphne Caruana Galizia from continuing to publish her articles in the paper?

The Times is re-running a series of articles by Daphne Caruana Galizia to boost morale. It has also published an editorial about her influence on the Maltese nation. At the end of the day, it is publishing her old articles that had appeared in The Sunday Times.

Rather than reprinting articles that appeared years ago in The Times, the newspaper should publish why it had stopped Daphne Caruana Galizia from continuing to publish with the Sunday Times!

In truth, shortly after Daphne Caruana Galizia had been stopped, she had written an article accusing the Times of being “a corrupt institution.” After being dismissed, Daphne Caruana Galizia began writing a series of articles attacking Guido de Marco. At the time, De Marco was on the Board of the Times and was very powerful. Daphne Caruana Galizia had blamed De Marco for her dismissal. After this, she started writing for the Malta Independent.

Today, the Times praises her to high heaven to influence the upcoming jury and jurors. If, in all honesty, The Times truly cares for her, it has to explain why it ended her articles appearing in the Times and stopped her contributing to the paper. Only then can the entire scenario be assessed.

  1. ‘Influence the jurors’ – really?
A Maltese woman was killed in cold blood by a team of assassins, commissioned by people at the heart of our government.
How can publishing Daphne’s articles be considered a ploy to influence Fenech’s trial?

  2. Comon lets stop praising this person. I condemn her murder Ok nobody has the write to kill especially murder a person. BUT!!! we cannot forget her way of writing full of ‘HDURA’ AND ALL KIND OF HATRED towards those on who she wrote about. We remember insulting Guido Demarco with his cancer not to mention what she use to say on Alfred Sant and manny others who came under her venom pen. We used to say that shy was to blame for the election of 2013.If we want to remember we should remember it all.
