Will Manuel Delia sue the Minister of Tourism for denouncing the abysmal state that the film industry in Malta was under Delia’s watch: I doubt it!
In an article published on Shift News, Kevin Cassar referred to how the Minister of Tourism, Clayton Bartolo, answered the questions being put forward to him by The Times Journalist Mark Lawrence Zammit. According to Cassar, at one point, the Minister of Tourism was heard telling Zammit that:

In other words, the Tourism Minister is not only showing that he reads my blogs but is confirming that what I have stated about the abysmal situation of the film industry under the Nationalist administration is true. Back then, honest individuals attempted to invest in the film business. However, somebody at this ministry was shooting down these attempts that would have provided jobs to the Maltese.
Minister Bartolo did not mention names. Nevertheless, the film sector fell under the ministry of Austin Gatt, and Manuel Delia was the government official entrusted with negotiating with those interested in this business. Delia did not deny that he was the man that was taking care of this sector on behalf of his Minister Austin Gatt but insisted that he had always done his job honestly and correctly.
Now we have the minister responsible for the film sector making a dig at how Manuel Delia conducted his work and confirming what was stated on this site that the only true interest of the Nationalist Administration was to shut down the film industry as there was no genuine interest in this sector. This goes diametrically opposite to what Manuel Delia had stated in a lengthy right of reply sent to this site.
The Nationalist government’s only interest was to use Smart City for the film industry, as rightly reported in my blog, and to turn the Rinella tanks into tuna pens.
Now, anyone can judge who is telling the truth about what used to take place at Austin Gatt’s ministry when Manuel Delia was responsible for this sector, whether it is him or me.
The fact that the general editor of Shift News, Caroline Muscat, left such an indirect reference to Manuel Delia’s way of doing things at the ministry of Austin Gatt in Kevin Cassar’s article confirms that there is no love lost between them!

“I have stated about the abysmal situation of the film industry under the Nationalist administration is true.”
OF COURSE THAT STATEMENT IS TRUE!!!
