Mark Camilleri lied to Manuel Delia about lawyer Arthur Azzopardi

When Times of Malta journalist Jacob Borg, on Monday, July 11, 2022, wrote an article regarding what Arthur Azzopardi said about the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia, Mark Camilleri posted a comment saying that lawyer Arthur Azzopardi is not saying the truth regarding what he knows about Daphne Caruana Galizia’s murder. In fact, Camilleri accuses Arthur Azzopardi of distorting facts for his own purposes.

I shall not go down the lane of whether what Camilleri is writing is true or otherwise.  What is definite – and this has already been proven – is that Arthur Azzopardi is saying half-truths that are far worse than a lie.  But when I had mentioned the name (and not the surname of Arthur Azzopardi because, at the time, I did not know it) in an article that I wrote back then concerning the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia, this led to a libel case being instituted against me by Arthur Azzopardi. That is when I learned his surname!

In my article, I had referred to the fact that the name “Arthur” was mentioned in the compilation of evidence against the Degiorgio brothers and I asked the police to investigate, because of the seriousness of the allegation made in court.  Arthur Azzopardi immediately instituted a libel case against me and all the media starting with Malta Today reported this libel case in a way to give Arthur Azzopardi a helping hand.

But the tale does not end here. The journalist who stated in the past that his life is in danger because of his writing – meaning Manuel Delia – penned a whole article in support of Arthur Azzopardi. This was triggered because Arthur Azzopardi is mentioned in Melvin Theuma’s recordings.  Manuel Delia made a whole argument to state that Arthur Azzopardi was being mentioned in the recordings to misdirect the investigators.

Mark Camilleri’s comment contradicts what Manuel Delia wrote about Arthur Azzopardi. I am sure that Mark Camilleri does not believe that Arthur Azzopardi was mentioned just for kicks or to misdirect the police. Else he would not have commented on Arthur Azzopardi as he did.

Thus, it clearly stands out that Manuel Delia’s pal, Mark Camilleri, has a different opinion about Arthur Azzopardi because he asserts in his comment that “most probably”, Arthur Azzopardi is ‘distorting it to his own ends”.

So what is the reason for Manuel Delia to stand up and defend Arthur Azzopardi?  Lest anyone has forgotten, the EU has financed Manuel Delia because the poor devil finds himself in a perilous situation because of his blog writing!

For those who are not in the know, Manuel Delia wrote a book with the help of Archbishop Scicluna’s chancellor full of lies about people, and Archbishop Scicluna was not bothered to appear with Manuel Delia in an official capacity! One wonders why?

I’ll conclude by stating that if in Maltese politics, there is an individual who is close to, or better still, connected with Keith Schembri, that person is certainly not Adrian Delia – as alleged in Mark Camilleri’s post – but Jason Azzopardi. To use Mark Camilleri’s own words, “the main link” between Keith Schembri and Jason Azzopardi did not go through some lawyer or other, but certainly thanks to family relationships that conveniently the media never never mentions or covers!
