Tomorrow a Show of Strength in Aid of L-Istrina

In aid of this year’s Istrina, there will be a feat of strength. Strength will once again become a powerful act of solidarity. This event has been called Christmas Takeover. 

The event will be hosted at the Farmers Market Ta’ Qali on Friday, 26 December (Boxing Day), starting at 6.00 pm. Set against the festive atmosphere of the Christmas season, the initiative brings together strength sports, community spirit, and charitable giving in support of one of Malta’s most important annual causes.

The strength demonstrations planned for the evening are not merely displays of physical power. They symbolise endurance, commitment, and generosity—values that lie at the heart of L-Istrina’s mission. By drawing crowds to Ta’ Qali on Boxing Day, the organisers aim to raise awareness and funds while offering an engaging and festive experience for families and visitors.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend, participate, and contribute in whatever way they can. Every visit, donation, and show of support helps strengthen L-Istrina’s ability to continue its vital work.

Christmas Takeover is being organised by several well-known local groups and brands, namely Mr American Meals, Fueled Up Meets, Mega Meets, Retro Rides, and the Malta Food Agency. Together, these entities are combining their reach and energy to support L-Istrina, reinforcing the idea that charity thrives when communities work collectively.
