Zuckerberg’s META Blocks Karl Stagno Navarra on Facebook and Other Media Platforms

Karl Stagno Navarra has been blocked from accessing his Facebook and other META-owned accounts, effectively locking him out of these social media platforms. This action follows multiple reports filed against him with META. There is little doubt about the individuals behind these reports—they are the same people who have long accused the Labour Party of being a threat to democracy. Yet, paradoxically, they are the first to suppress freedom of speech when it does not align with their views.

This is not a post in defence or criticism of Stagno Navarra; instead, it is a statement favouring freedom of expression. If someone dislikes Stagno Navarra’s content, they are free to ignore it—this is, after all, a free country. However, the fact that Zuckerberg’s platforms have silenced his messages demonstrates how liberals and the “woke” continue to restrict free speech in Malta. Moreover, these forces operate in close collaboration with Daphne Caruana Galizia Foundation supporters.

In light of this suppression, I am providing an English translation of Karl Stagno Navarra’s message.

Friends,

The blocking of my access to social media, where I used to write, report, and expose what was happening within the Nationalist Party, is not an isolated incident or simply the reckless act of a few.

This is merely part of a diabolical plan orchestrated by specific individuals whose sole purpose is to suppress dissenting voices. Let me explain what is unfolding.

I have been a journalist for over 30 years. I know people, have contacts and receive and analyse information.

But I assure you, never before have I been as concerned as I am today when I analyse and sift through every message I receive from the Nationalist camp.

The behaviour of Karol Aquilina in Parliament last night and the day before is deeply troubling. This attitude of defiance and utter disrespect towards the authority and integrity of the Speaker of the House, Dr Angelo Farrugia, confirms the repeated messages I am receiving from the PN Headquarters.

I know that even PN leader Bernard Grech is worried—very worried.

Karol Aquilina’s conduct is subversive.

Notary Robert Aquilina of Republika is making statements in conjunction with this behaviour. This is a coordinated effort with a clear objective: to push the country towards civil disobedience.

This civil disobedience is being orchestrated to force an early General Election, disregarding the strong electoral mandate that Robert Abela secured in 2022 as leader of the Labour Party.

Within the PN, Bernard Grech has lost control. However, I believe he still has at least the voice and courage to condemn Karol Aquilina and dissociate himself from Repubblika and their constant blackmail against him, to be Maltese enough to look into history books, and to do as Eddie Fenech Adami did in 1981 when he expelled Josie Muscat from the PN.

Malta deserves a genuinely Nationalist party and not a populist, subversive movement in which bizarre and shameless individuals can control a party, a leader, or a parliamentary group.

If Bernard Grech wants to salvage his already doomed position, he must be Maltese enough to immediately stop Karol Aquilina and anyone associated with his plan.

Grech knows what I’m saying, and I expect him to act like a leader, not a puppet.

To all of you who follow my writings, please never respond to or interact with Karol and Robert Aquilina, and never react to any provocation or intimidation.

We are not like them, and every misfortune that befalls them only accelerates their downfall.

Our resistance against these subversives is shown ONLY through our unity around the Prime Minister and Labour Party leader, Robert Abela.

We must attend every Labour Party event in full force, listen, and spread our love for Malta while protecting our jobs, families, and businesses.

We do not incite tensions. We provide assurance and peace of mind that there is no hatred among us—only strong dedication to Malta and our red and white flag.
