Kate Brooks Praises Malta’s Speaker Dr Angelo Farrugia, on Social Media

Geneva/Valletta – Kate Brooks has taken to the social media platform X to commend Malta’s Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr Angelo Farrugia.

Brooks said it had been “great to chat” with Dr Farrugia during the World Conference of Speakers of Parliament organised by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva last month. Their exchange formed part of the #IPU on Air podcast series, which features conversations with parliamentary leaders from across the globe.

Her post lauded Dr Farrugia’s participation and contribution to the international dialogue, highlighting Malta’s active role within the IPU framework.

The World Conference of Speakers of Parliament brings together presiding officers from national parliaments to discuss common challenges, strengthen parliamentary diplomacy, and promote democratic governance worldwide.
