With his stand in the case of Jean Paul Sofia, the Prime Minister confirms just how privileged are the Caruana Galizias

Dr. Robert Abela is on a crusade to prevent a public inquiry from being held in the case of Jean-Paul Sofia, who was killed at Kordin when a building collapsed on top of him. The Prime Minister insists that the inquiring magistrate’s findings must be concluded first. This site is informed that the magistrate was still awaiting the report from architect Alex Torpiano in order for her to close the inquiry. I hope that he has now presented it by now.

Nevertheless, the question is still there. Why is the Prime Minister hindering a public inquiry? Does Robert Abela not realize that his discourse is also hindering the magisterial inquiry? Can somebody in Government or someone from the Labour Party explain why a public inquiry was held in the case of Daphne Caruana Galizia and this inquiry cannot take place? The magisterial inquiry into her death was still ongoing, and a public inquiry was still possible. According to Manuel Delia, another ongoing inquiry is taking place, but this is being kept under wraps. This is an inquiry investigating, among others, the emails sent by Daphne Caruana Galizia to her husband and his girlfriend. Incidentally, even in the case of Daphne Caruana Galizia, the police’s investigations are still ongoing!

Therefore, why cannot the same system be used in the case of Jean-Paul Sofia, and a Public inquiry be held while the police investigations and the magisterial inquiry are still ongoing?
