Malta’s Diplomatic shame and its consequences – (I) The Lvova-Belova incident

After imposing unilateral non-UN-backed sanctions on the Russian Federation (RF), Malta was listed as an ‘unfriendly country’ by the Russian Federation. This signifies that where Russia is concerned, our country became subject to ‘countermeasures, including import and export restrictions, suspension or termination of international cooperation, or privatization of state assets.

Not content with just imposing sanctions, this irresponsible government went as far as breaking our country’s constitution – by agreeing to directly contribute to the procurement of ammunition to be supplied to the Kyiv regime.  Russia considers countries contributing directly to be ‘co-belligerents’ – which in simple terms means that in Russia’s eyes we are now enemies and effectively a participant in the war.

And yet we have seen last week, in a further act of diplomatic gross negligence, “Malta’s top diplomat at the UN walked out on Russia’s children’s commissioner, Maria Alekseevna Lvova-Belova as she spoke via video at an informal meeting for Security Council members.”

This act of petulance and hubris, which could not have happened without being greenlighted by our government, is not only simply politically wrong and which as I will explain in a subsequent article will return to haunt our country – but is just as importantly also morally wrong.

The war in Ukraine did not start in 2022 – it started in 2014 when the Kyiv regime which came to power in an unconstitutional coup d’etat declared war on ethnic Russians situated predominantly in the country’s Eastern and Southern provinces by banning them (including children who we now claim to care so much about) from using their mother-tongue even in private and thereafter seeking to erase both their culture and identity.

The people in the East particularly in the Donbas only took up arms after brutal acts of violence such as the massacre in Odessa by the regime-sponsored Neo-Nazi thugs where the police stood by and did nothing and not even one thug was ever brought to justice, and then they only did so in self-defence after the Ukrainian regime tried to subdue the opposition by force of arms. A Ukrainian regime that later absorbed Neo-Nazi militias such as Right Sector, Azov, Aidar, Dnipr, Kraken, and others en-masse both into its power structures and into the armed forces.

It was the Ukrainian regime that for eight years indiscriminately shelled the urban cities of the Donbas, killing somewhere in the region of 15,000 civilians including 500 children (which neither we nor the ICC ever cared about) with at least 120 children killed in Donetsk alone.

The Western media shamefully covered up for the Ukrainian regime. The Internation Criminal Court was nowhere to be seen or heard. “Malta’s top diplomat” was probably blissfully not even aware of what was going on given that he got all his foreign briefings from watching CNN, the BBC and One News- and he was evidently not prodded into action by the US.

It was not Russia that sabotaged the diplomatic efforts of Minsk I and Minsk II to bring the conflict to a peaceful resolution but the Kyiv regime abetted by NATO – as none other than Angela Merkel and Francois Hollande has since admitted.

It was not Russia, that in early February 2022 concentrated an armed force of over 100,000 men in the Donbas and sharply escalated the indiscriminate shelling of Luhansk and Donetsk but the Kyiv regime. The International Criminal Court’s (ICC) indictment of Maria Alekseevna Lvova-Belova and Russian President Vlaimir Putin has no legitimate basis and is nothing but a sham and simply yet another phase in the ongoing demonization of Russia in an extremely dirty propaganda war.

What is the ICC?

The International Criminal Court is a kangaroo court set up by NATO to prosecute the victims of its own wars of aggression, which were true acts of crimes against humanity to give them a veneer of legitimacy. Despite being an instrument of NATO, the USA itself does not recognize it as a legitimate body.

Had the ICC been an independent body, the likes of Margaret Albright (she that stated that 500,000 dead Iraqi children were worth it), GW Bush, Colin Powel,Tony Blair and a whole host of others, would have long been indicted by this court.

Who is Lvova-Belova?

The indictment by the ICC reads, that Lvova-Belova is “allegedly responsible for a war crime, which consists in the illegal deportation of the population (children) from the occupied territories of Ukraine to the Russian Federation.”

Now forget for a moment that there is the word allegedly (which further damns Malta’s top diplomat’s stance – because she has every right to give her position since this is only as the statement reads an allegation.)

Thousands of children, (Children which the Kyiv regime has declared war upon, and children who Ukrainian President Poroshenko said should rot in basements) have been evacuated by the Russian military from the war-torn region. In May 2022, Putin signed a decree simplifying the procedure for obtaining Russian citizenship for orphans from Ukraine and from the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. The decree applies to children who have been left without parental care, and incapacitated people. Indeed, even if Russia were to be considered an aggressor state, it still has an obligation to provide and care for such children.

This was not a cloak-and-dagger affair either – all was done very publicly, indeed Maria Lvova-Belova has repeatedly reported about the evacuation of children from the war zone in Ukraine, including orphans and those who needed decent medical treatment. In November 2022, she reported that 52 children with severe pathologies were urgently taken out of a boarding house located near the front line in the Kherson region. On March 10, 2023, she said that 89 children, who since September 2022 are now de facto citizens of Russia (4 provinces voted in a referendum to join Russia), are waiting to be reunited with their parents in the Crimean and the Krasnodar regions. All the children are accommodated in sanatoriums and health camps and are provided with all the necessary treatment.

Far from being a war criminal, Lvova-Belova is an angel of mercy. But then again Lvova-Belova perhaps represents something that the Post-Christian West clearly detests:

She is Russian, white, Christian, the wife of an Orthodox priest, and the mother of five. In 2012 and 2013, she adopted four more children. In 2020 she became guardian for eight young people with mental disabilities, and in 2021 she took custody of five more disabled graduates of the orphanage.

So while Lvova-Belova actually cares for children, particularly those with disabilities, in the West and now sadly even in Malta, we seek ways to abort them or put them on puberty blockers if not actually mutilate them.

On moral grounds, Malta’s position is not only hypocritical but also objectively and morally flawed – something that is increasingly typical of our woke ruling elite.

But this very visible slight at the highest diplomatic forum will also have long-term grave economic and national security consequences for our country.

Of this I will write next.

  1. True that the Ukraine war started in 2014 and not in 2022. History just repeated itself. Putin used the same trick/strategy that Hitler used in the mid 30’s. Hitler had sent a number of German citizens in Austria, and crated a situation for these citizens to be bullied and ill treated by the Austrians. All was planned. Then Hitler complained about his nationals being ill treated by the Austrians. He then gave Austria two choices, either it get annexed with Germany or he invades Austria. Back then, the Austria Government subdued and accepted that Austria be annexed with Germany. Putin did exactly that, he created a phoney reverendum in 2014 to annex Crimea. But then failed to have the whole Ukraine annexed when Zelensky took the helm of Ukraine, so Putin invaded with such an excuse! History always repeat itself!!
