It is illogical for a former Prime Minister of such standing to join the Repubblika melee.

From a reader of this blog.

It is true that at present the emphasis, in many quarters, is being made on mental health as a result of the pandemic and the measures imposed. But what is not logical is the fact of having a former prime minister participating in an online forum organized by Repubblica and Manuel Delia to give them support for this evening’s protest stating – and here I am reporting from what was reported in Lovin Malta:

When calls are made for people to gather in Valletta and send out a message about how Daphne Caruana Galizia had fought for our interests and our nation’s interests, our physical presence means a lot, even if we don’t speak,” “When activities are held to encourage the people of Malta to send a message to the government of the day, we should answer these calls.”

How dare Gonzi says that Daphne Caruana Galizia fought for our interests?! Daphne Caruana Galizia fought only for her own interests. She failed miserably to conclude anything positive even when she turned her hand at investigative journalism. She never concluded not even one serious topic which she could have before her life was cut short so tragically. Yet, she was happy at playing the provocateur who deliberately behaved controversially in order to provoke arguments or strong reactions. She enjoyed toying with people and attacking every Tom, Dick and Harry that crossed her line of vision. Sadly, at the end of the day, all she did was boost her ego.

Now we have a group like Repubblika and a former Prime Minister using her for their own despicable ends because they cannot face facts or reality. Please let her rest in peace. Sir Michael Gonzi must be turning in his grave dear former Prime Minister!
