The absence of solidarity of the Association of Magistrates and Judges with Judge Griscti

In the past few days, there has been an attack on the integrity of Judge Giovanni Griscti by Jason Azzopardi. This attack was taken over by a section of the media. One would have expected that the Association of Magistrates and Judges to pronounce itself on this matter and defend the integrity of one of their colleagues instead of giving the impression that he should not have bought an old vessel from the father of Yorgen Fenech in 2008, nine years before Daphne was actually murdered.

It should be pointed out that its president, Judge Francesco Depasquale had no problem speaking out to the media about what he and his colleges consider as shortcomings in the workings of our courts.

Where is the solidarity and collegiality of our judiciary?
