The Maltese Three Stooges
Blog post by Fr. David Muscat
Retired judge Moe Mallia, along with former chief justice Curly Said Pullicino and Madam Justice Larry Lofaro, have solemnly pronounced a Damantio Memoriae on Joseph Muscat.
Alea iacta est – the die is cast. Cute Joey, the poster boy of economic success, multiculturalism, Lgbt fake rights, ends up on the dartboard … bull’s eye!
This trio has found a “scapegoat” for all the disorders in the court systems and the rule of law in Malta. Joseph Muscat’s government is to blame for all the afflictions hitting Malta, from the loss of the island’s reputation leading to the economic apocalypse in the financial services, to widespread power cuts and jellyfish invasions.
The crux of the matter is this: admittedly the inquiry is excellent; but did we really need it to conclude that Malta is a dysfunctional state? Wasn’t Daphne herself who wrote, just before her death, that “crooks are everywhere” and that the situation is desperate? Isn’t her blood crying for justice from the ground more than enough?
Apparently, no. In a certain way, Daphne filled the void left by the retreat of the Catholic Church from public life. For example, the Church never clearly condemns the abuse of the 5% capital corporate tax planning system that effectively transformed Malta into an illegitimate though perfectly legal tax haven. It shies away from condemning the flagrant breaching of the commandments – “thou shall not steal” and “thou shall not lie”.
Added to this is that fear of the politicians and indeed civil society itself, who lecture to the Maltese public about the intrinsic goodness of such things as the financial services industry because of the prosperity harnessed and brought to our shores.
Back to Daphne, she revealed how the Maltese public shows an irresistible and infantile need to hang on to a teacher, a master, a judge, a politician, who can show and dictate to them what to love and what to hate and what is right and what is wrong. The only thing left for the Church is erecting new basilicas and blessing gay couples.
In a certain way Daphne was like Rahner’s anonymous Christian who lived the freedom of the Gospel verses: ‘’when you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how to defend yourselves or what to say for at that time the Holy Spirit will teach you what you should say.’’ (Luke 12, 11-12). In this way, her free spirit grew to become grotesque in the eyes of her detractors and for them, so dangerous that it became “necessary” to eliminate her.
To put it bluntly, The Three Stooges’ Inquiry in this light is disrespectful to Daphne despite the attempt to do the opposite. If Daphne has spoken the truth, we needed no synagogue or authority, nor judges on a soapbox to deduce that impunity reigns in Malta, that Joseph Muscat is a pathological liar and that the state-cum- government funds the character assassination of its political opponents through our, taxpayer’s money.
Unfortunately, Daphne had serious defects that marred her journalistic work. I remember well the awful class hatred that was spread during the Mintoff era from the bottom up. Sadly Daphne Caruana Galizia also spread class contempt, this time from the top down. Essentially, both attitudes are morally censurable.
The posh are now panicking because Muscat’s imbecility killed the goose that was laying their golden eggs.
The posh and the discreet that pull the strings in our islands will use The Three Stooges’ Inquiry to persuade the FATF and the international community that there are still some Maltese who are good and respectable citizens and who honestly want to comply with the law.
Consequently, the face of that bourgeois establishment that prospered during Labour’s seven years of plenty will be saved.
If neither this works then Plan B kicks in which effectively means sending the Muscat gang to prison.
Indeed, Freemasons will do anything to save their fortunes … even eliminating their former wonder boy.
Now the usefulness of the inquiry forced by the EU parliamentarians becomes clear. The real intention is masked behind a platitude of virtue for these good and respectable people ‘’are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean’’ (Matthew 23, 27).
Now Joseph Muscat really needs to take seriously Kenneth Rijock’s advice and run for his life. Not even 50,000 Ġahan or Robert Abela himself will be able to shield Joseph Muscat from the vendetta of the super-rich who are panicking after Greylisting. There is no honour among thieves.
Do not be afraid. Turn to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He is the real Invictus. He condemned the Prince of this World (John 16,11) for he shed his blood for everyone including Michelle Muscat and Daphne Caruana Galizia.
The jealousy is still trying its best Joseph Muscat is INVICTUS what good has he done for the country of Malta no one can do agian.
