A former Labour candidate states that she was toying with the idea of not voting but after yesterday’s protest she will be voting

Yesterday morning, the president of the group Repubblika, Robert Aquilina, was in a jeep in front of the Hilton Hotel, with a recorded message blaring that Yorgen Fenech is a criminal. A woman confronted him and told him to show respect for Yorgen Fenech’s mother who lives nearby. I have this story both on my site and on Facebook including a video recording of what went on. Repubblika’s action was an attempt to destroy the livelihood of all those employed at the Hilton. After many months of economic constraints, the economy is starting to recover and Repubblika had the brainwave to go and protest in front of the Hilton that has nothing to do with the whole saga of Daphne Caruana Galizia’s death!

One of the readers, who read my blog and has commented, is former Labour candidate, Marion Mizzi. What she had to say is worth reproducing in full:

Repubblika… Y[orgen Fenech] has not yet been found guilty and [yo]u have no right to do this… until [yo]u prove his guilt… all [yo]u want is revenge … [Yo]u [’re] trying to get people on your side but I can assure you this is not the way. You need to show respect to all the workers and to Y[orgen’s] mother. How disrespectful can you be… Yes, we all know that there is no limit to your unjustified way of thinking! It’s a pity, cause we do need an Opposition and this is why we don’t have one! [Yo]u are disgusting. You must apologise… Who do [yo]u think you are? I was honestly considering not voting but after this I will vote!!!!
