Can Dr Fearne explain why he is giving statements which are contrary to what foreign media portals are reporting?

Times of Malta has reported what the Health Minister Chris Fearne stated about the non-vaccined Maltese citizens:

“The data is clear: those who are vaccinated are protected, those who aren’t, are not.”

This was stated after he cited that:

“Unvaccinated people make up around 90 per cent of newly-detected COVID-19 cases and two patients currently in hospital have both not taken a vaccine”.

He specified that this 90 per cent figure:

“was derived from data accumulated over the past 10 days.” [1]

BUT, ON THE CONTRARY TO WHAT DR. FEARNE IS STATING, various international media portals are stating that FULLY VACCINATED PEOPLE are STILL TESTING POSITIVE FOR COVID-19.

The Guardian quotes Mohammed Khan, the leader of Blackburn with Darwen Council, who said

“six of the nine coronavirus patients in the region’s hospital had received at least one jab.” “This was after the majority of people in hospital with Covid-19 in East Lancashire have received a vaccine dose.” [2]

Didn’t the local health authorities tell us that those who take the jab, are protected against the virus? Then how come those jabbed people in East Lancashire, were hospitalised with Covid-19? Isn’t this a grievous matter? Does this mean that people who get the jab can still be hospitalised with severe symptoms of Covid-19?

An American news portal, The Independent, has also confirmed that “Nearly 4,000 fully vaccinated people in Massachusetts have tested positive for Covid-19, according to state health officials. As of 12th June there had been 3,791 cases among more than 3.7m fully vaccinated people in the state, data from the Department of Public Health shows.” [3]

Other articles[4][5] have also reported that “Two passengers on a cruise ship in the Mediterranean have tested positive for Covid-19” while travelling on the MSC Seaside cruise ship. This was the same cruise ship who had docked here in Malta but whose passengers were forbidden to disembark. MSC rules are clear. Only VACCINATED passengers are allowed to embark and they are tested for Covid-19 96 hours before departure. They are tested again when they embark and a third test takes place during the cruise. Then all passengers are required to wear masks in public spaces and practise social distancing. So, the bogus enigma in all this story is here: Can someone explain how come this pair, who was FULLY VACCINATED, TESTED NEGATIVE 96 hours before leaving, TESTED NEGATIVE the day they left, everyone was wearing masks on the boat, and yet THIS PAIR WAS FOUND POSITIVE AND QUARANTINED? What was the point of getting vaccinated for freedom again?

In an article by Reuters, we read that “Hundreds of vaccinated Indonesian health workers get COVID-19, dozens in hospital” [6]. The article reads that “More than 350 doctors and medical workers have caught COVID-19 in Indonesia despite being vaccinated with Sinovac and dozens have been hospitalised, officials said.” Surprisingly, most of these workers were self-isolating at home and asymptomatic, while “dozens were in hospital with high fevers and falling oxygen-saturation levels”.

Weren’t health workers told to take the vaccine since they were told that it is for their best interest, being front-liners? Is this the best of life they deserve? Doesn’t this also prove that despite being vaccinated, people can still get hospitalised with covid-19 with severe symptoms?

And doesn’t the statement that “many of these workers were self-isolating at home and asymptomatic” show that the vaccinated can still carry the virus without having symptoms if we want to give the benefit of the doubt to “the asymptomatic logic”?

Can Dr Fearne explain why he is giving statements which are contrary to what foreign media portals are reporting?
