Why is the Caruana Galizia Foundation objecting to the Presidential Pardon to the Degiorgio Brothers?

I will not go into whether the Degiorgio brothers should be pardoned or not. As my readers know, I am against Government granting presidential pardons; the more so when it is being requested as a bargaining tool i.e. ‘I will reveal more or all, if I am granted a pardon!’ This is tantamount to a form blackmail.

My question is this. Why is the Caruana Galizia Foundation objecting to the Degiorgio brothers being granted a pardon? To my knowledge, the former did not object to Melvin Theuma being granted a pardon. For that matter, did the Caruana Galizia Foundation object to the pardon granted to Vince Muscat (il-Koħħu)? Therefore, why is the Caruana Galizia Foundation objecting to the Degiorgio brothers? The Degiorgio brothers’ lawyer has declared that they are prepared to name the former minister allegedly involved in the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia if they are granted a pardon. Moreover, they said that they are ready to reveal two masterminds and two middlemen behind this murder.

Assuming this is true, why would the Foundation not want such an important piece of information to be disclosed? This is all very baffling. Why is the Foundation not interested in finding out who truly is/are the mastermind/s and go-betweens involved in Daphne Caruana Galizia’s murder? Why is the Foundation objecting to such a revelation?
