Why was the Police Commissioner not present for yesterday’s press conference?
Yesterday, the Prime Minister Robert Abela held a press conference at the Auberge of Castille. What I find disappointing is the fact that the Police Commissioner was not present at all. I would have expected that the Commissioner of Police would be present, given that this press conference was to highlight the achievements of the police force.
My advice to Abela is the following. If he expects loyalty, he should leave propaganda to the right time and place. Yesterday, it was not a time for propaganda. He should not only have had the Police Commissioner next to him but should have even let him speak to the media.
